I cracked open my new Stitch 'N Bitch 2007 Page-A-Day Calendar today and looked it over. The last couple years I've gotten the Knitting Pattern-A-Day Calendar from Accord Publishing, but this year I thought I'd try something else. Instead of just patterns, the Stitch 'n Bitch calendar has a different type of feature for each day of the week. Starting Monday there's a yarn review, then every Tuesday has a knitting tip, Wednesday is for knitting websites, Thursday looks at knitting history, Friday provides a pattern, and the weekend page simply has a quote from a famous person. In addition, you are given a code to access an online Page-A-Day calendar -- you can choose either the same calendar as your print version or another altogether. While poking around their website, I stumbled on a way to gain access to more online calendars as well. Go to pageaday.com, click on contests, then answer the quiz question (press the back button and pick a different answer as many times as needed if you don't get it right the first time), and you will win a code for a free online calendar.
