We saw Flightplan yesterday, and I really enjoyed it -- very suspenseful. Jody Foster does a fabulous job as a very different sort of supermom.
Earlier I came across a display at Borders containing new, plainer-covered paperbacks of George R. R. Martin's A Game of Thrones
(pictured at left) and free pamphlets with an excerpt from the next book in his A Song of Ice and Fire series. Apparently, this was designed to whet new readers appetites and provide a small morsel to those of us already drooling in anticipation of A Feast for Crows
. The excerpt entitled "The Captain of Guards" can also be read online. I've discovered several other cyberspace previews as well, including one about Daenerys, one set in the Iron Islands (Word document), and one from Arya's point of view. In addition, you can find a sample chapter on Martin's own site.
