Yesterday I looked back over last year's projects, and today I take a look at what's still in the works.
Works in progress:
- Boundless Blue Blanket - The knitting on this was actually completed half a year ago! It only needs the yarn ends woven in. A couple months ago John pulled it out and asked if it would unravel with the ends still hanging out. When I said that it wouldn't, he proceeded to wrap up in it as is, and we've been using it on cold nights ever since. I've tried to convince myself that the yarn ends sticking out are an artistic design element, but unfortunately they still bug me so eventually I'll get them woven in.
- Summer Socks - These have been languishing in limbo because all the bind-off methods I've tried have come out too tight or too sloppy. However, I think I may have found a solution in the bind-off which nona used for her I-Cord Gloves.
- Nothin' But a Shapely Tee - This has been a real challenge, but I'm still hopeful that it will all be worth it in the end. I've completed the body, but I'm faced with at least ripping out the floppy neckline. I decreased a few stitches on the second round, but apparently not enough. I am also tempted to rip back past the short-row shaping at the bustline because I'm not really happy with its placement.
- Christmas Stocking - I just have to stitch Nick's name on it.
I'd really like to have all of these projects wrapped up by the end of this month at the latest so I can start new projects with a clear conscience.
