My bookmark is coming along nicely with no further tweaks to my plan necessary:
Like my homemade bobbin? I took the cardboard back of a notepad, cut it into the shape you see, and then added a little diagonal slit at the top for anchoring down the thread as needed.

That is a lot of math for such a little bookmark, its looks great. I love
the colors
